Delhomme, Brooks and Bryant earn NFC weekly honors
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme and a pair of Tampa bay Buccaneers, linebacker Derrick Brooks and kicker Matt Bryant, were named the NFC's top players for Week 4 of the NFL season.
Delhomme was named Offensive Player of the Week after completing 20-of-29 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers' 24-9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Delhomme tossed touchdown passes of 56 yards to Steve Smith and 36 yards to Muhsin Muhammad and his 124.8 passer rating was the highest among NFL quarterbacks for the week.
